Day 4 - Ho Chi Minh City Tour

Another great day of seeing the city. I am a pretty lucky guy. I am laying here in my hotel room, sipping on a fresh sugar cane juice, with some random Asian music video playing behind me as I type this blog. Man...these experiences are so special and they are mine. I love it. OK enough with the reflecting and more pics right? First stop the war remnants museum...I have to be honest, this place was a bug it is depressing. IMG_0723
IMG_0727 IMG_0729 IMG_0734 The museum was full of pictures and alot of them really sad. I will spare the deep descriptions. But it was a war, a terrible war and bad things happened. Yeah..a bummer. IMG_0745 IMG_0748 ok moving stop we headed to the Mother of the Ocean Temple. This is a sea goddess that protect sailors and fishermen. This is her temple in HCM's Chinatown area aka Cho Lon. IMG_0770 IMG_0772 IMG_0777 IMG_0782 IMG_0788 Next we went to the Binh Tay Wholesale is crazy inside and you can buy whatever you want...just as long as you buy at least 100 or so... IMG_0792 IMG_0797 IMG_0804 IMG_0809 We then headed to the Reunification Palace...where the president of VN lived etc. IMG_0817 IMG_0823 IMG_0828 IMG_0829 IMG_0848 last stops Notre Dame Cathedral one the oldest churches in the country, every brick was brought in from France to build it. Pretty awesome church. IMG_0878 IMG_0885 IMG_0887 IMG_0889 IMG_0899 Post office IMG_0905 IMG_0907 IMG_0915 IMG_0922 that was it...another long day but filled with cool things, sites and learnings. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving over here and I found a local restaurant that is hosting a "Traditional Thanksgiving" buffet for $28USD. Not too bad, so I am going to go there! I also get my suits back from the tailor too. Exciting!
